NEW! Aussie Body Wash!

DSC00091

Over the years I have used and loved Aussie haircare products so when I was out shopping in Boots and saw that they have now introduced a body wash range I thought I would give them a go.

The body washes come in three options, Mega Watt, Fresh Mate & No Rush. All three smell lovely and are designed to fit in with your needs, e.g. a fresh scent to feel super clean, a calm relaxing scent and a scent that will give you a boost of energy to help wake you up!

I usually use Imperial Leathers Foamburst as I like a rich creamy lather, thats the only downside about these body washes, they smell amazing, get you nice and clean but you do need a generous amount to get a good lather.

No Rush is a favourite of mine, the tag line reads 'For skin that deserves to be spoilt' and that is exactly what it does. It leaves you feeling very calm and relaxed and I am defiantly a one for a good pamper evening so this suited me.It contains Australian Jojoba Seed Oil so it is very kind and softening to the skin.

Fresh Mate is a scent that shocked me, from the bottle and the name I expected a very minty scent that would make you feel very fresh. It is nothing like that, it is very unique and lovely to use. The scent is not overpowering it just smells fresh and clean! This body wash contains Eucalyptus but it in now way has that traditional Eucalyptus smell. It is simply like no smell I have smelt before.

Mega Watt, a bit like Fresh Mate I expected this to be very strong and even citrus smelling but it is not. It has a hint of citrus but to me it is more sweet smelling. Defiantly the stronger smelling out of the three but still not overpowering. The idea behind this body wash is to re-boost and re-vitalise you and I use this after my workout sessions just to wake me up a bit and help my muscles recover. The main ingredient in Mega Watt is Australian Ginseng which is know for its re-boosting properties.

They are available in Boots now and I was able to pick them up on offer for £1.99 but there RRP is £2.99 which is maybes a bit steep for 250mls but worth it as a little treat. There is also a Shower Smoothie version but unfortunately I was unable to get my hands on that!

Have you tried this range before? Which is your Favourite?

Lush Haul!

DSC00509

I haven't been to Lush for ages so, when I was out shopping yesterday I thought what better time to go and have a look.

If you have been reading my blog for a while then you will know how much I love Lush (its almost an addiction!) so I decided to get a maximum of three products (yes I didn't believe that either).

DSC00524

Walking around the store the lovely sales assistant saw me coming and decided to give me a basket (the basket of doom) and my three items quickly multiplied so I thought I would share with you what I bought.

DSC00521

The first product I was attracted to was their UltraViolet Bubble Bar, the colours attracted me first and then the smell is amazing! This Bubble Bar is scented with Violet Leaf and jasmine absolutes and smells amazing! This bubble bar was £4.75 so pretty expensive however it generally gives me 3-4 bath worth of bubbles so I can justify the cost.

DSC00511

If you love lemon sherbets, I used to get them as a child so when I smelt Fizzbanger I was taken down memory lane! The smell is so strong  and the lemon scent makes your mouth water! I don't know how Lush do it but this bath bomb smells so fizzy and fresh. I cannot wait to try this after a busy exercising class or even in a morning to kick start my day! At £3.35 a bath bomb its defiantly worth it!

DSC00517

Although I do like fruity citrus smells I also really enjoy sweet scents to and one of my favourite bubble bars from Lush is Creamy Candy, it smells like candy floss or a really yummy sweet treat! It is also very moisturising in the bath as it contains Vanilla Absolute and Almond Oil. I usually get 2 baths out of this bar as I usually like to overindulge in the sweet scented bubbles and for £2.75 I am quite happy with that.

DSC00513

Now I have never tried this one before, Honey Bee Bath Bomb however the smell and the amazing ingredients attracted me to it! This Bath Bomb contains Aloe Vera and honey what more could you ask for ad the fact that it looks like a little bee is even better. Coming in at £3.35 I thought it was worth a try.

DSC00515

I prefer Bubble Bars over bath bombs, simply because I think you get more for your money as they last a couple of times so when I was happily browsing I picked up this adorable little thing, POP in the Bath  a little bundle of citrus. The idea is that the citrus smell 'pops' in the bath to help pick up your mood and I cannot wait to try it! This little citrus goodness costs £2.95 and again will do me between 2-3 baths.

DSC00519

And finally this is one of my all time favourite Lush products, Rose Jam Bubbleroon. This is an amazing concept as the Bubble Bar has been designed to look like a macaroon and even has 'jam' in the middle! I am not a fan of Rose scents but I absolutely love this! It always leaves my skin so soft too. The main ingredients are Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Rose Oil and it is defiantly worth trying if you haven't already. It costs £3.65 but again you can get 2-4 baths out of it depending on how many bubbles you want.

I hope that this has inspired you to pop into your local Lush store and have a look around and please let me know your recommendations or your favourites as I love any excuse to have a look around the store!

I am now on Facebook and Instagram and still surviving on twitter and Bloglovin  and I really would love it if you could like/follow and share. Leave me your links below with your recommendations and I would love to find new readers to follow!

The Coquetvale Hotel, Rothbury & Update!!

DSC00388

Firstly, I hope you are all well and thank you so much for still sticking by me and my blog even though I have been MIA for a little while! Over the past couple of weeks I have been unwell, just cold but it has been on and off and hard to get rid off, both me and my Mam have been passing it back and forth!

My Mam has also been in a lot of pain with cellulitis in her leg so I have mainly been looking after her and never found time or the energy really to blog. I am pleased to say that I am fully recovered now and my Mam is still in pain and needs help with certain things but she is defiantly on the mend to.

So it was my Mams birthday in November and with it being relatively close to Christmas I decided that one of her birthday presents would be a weekend away to Rothbury in the new year.

DSC00386

For those of you who aren't familiar with Rothbury, it is a gorgeous little town in Northumberland with some amazing scenery!!

DSC00384
DSC00391

DSC00389

Nowadays we take for granted having supermarkets and shopping centres on our door step or just a little drive away, in Rothbury it is very much the case of having a family run butchers, green grocers, bakery etc and thats what I love so much about it! Your not bombarded with offers or convenience food and the shop owners are extremely friendly and helpful.

We stayed at The Coquetvale Hotel, which is just over the river from the town centre. The hotel was incredible, friendly staff and the best part.......they allowed Lulu to come with us too!! Breakfast was gourgouse they had a buffet and a hot breakfast option too. The hotel itself had is own bar and restaurant which was decorated with sophisticated arm chairs and sofas and the bar even had a old fashioned log/coal fire!

DSC00392

Our room was lovely, we had a double bed, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, they even offer hot chocolate too incase you have been out exploring in the cold and want to come back and get cozy!

DSC00393

DSC00394

Now when I am on holiday I love to have a nice bath and relax and The Coquetvale never disappointed! Each room has both a bath and shower and the bathrooms are very spacious too. Whilst we were there we found out that some rooms even have whirlpool baths too!

I cannot fault any part of my stay in Rothbury and staying at The Coquetvale hotel, the only thing I would say is, we were in a loft room which was 3 flights of stairs, now with both me and my mam on the heavier side and her having trouble with her legs it was a little difficult at times, however the staff were brilliant, offered to help us with our bags etc and because they have really thought about the design, when you got to the second floor they had seats so you could just take your time and have a rest if needed.

If you are thinking about visiting Northumberland, and Rothbury, you will not be disappointed and I would recommend The Coquetvale Hotel if you were planning on staying overnight.

I know that this is a bit of a different type of post for me, but I thought I would give you a bit of an update on what had been going on recently.

Thanks for Reading!
